You may have donors who give regularly to your charity.
They may give weekly, fortnightly or monthly (mycause does not allow annual giving)
mycause offers multiple automation to assist you in managing your Regular Givers.
In 'Donations & Transactions' in your Partner Dashboard
REPORTS
mycause has provided two reports in your Partner Dashboard
RG Status & Transactions | This report will show the Gift Status and the Card Status of the donor in that month |
RG New this month | This report will show new Regular Givers in the month |
STATUS
Gift Status | Card Status | |
Active | Processed | The RG is active and processed according to the frequency. |
Active | Expired |
The RG is active but we cannot process it as the card is expired. Email: 'Update Credit Card' sent Notification Banner: In users' account |
Active | Unable to Process |
The RG is active but we cannot process it as the card is unavailable eg insufficient funds. Email: 'Credit Card failed' sent Notification Banner: In users' account |
Inactive | Expired | The RG is inactive with an expired card. No funds will be processed |
Inactive | Unable to Process | The RG is inactive and no funds will be processed |
Inactive | Processed |
The RG was processed in the last month and has since been deactivated |
HOW TO STOP A REGULAR GIFT
Go to 'Donations & Transactions' in your Partner Dashboard
First search for the transaction. You can do this by using the search field or the filter
Once you find the transaction or donor then select 'manage'
To change a Gift status from Active to Inactive (i.e stop the regular payment) click the actions button Choose 'Stop Regular Donation'.
EMAILS
mycause will send an email to the donor in these cases if their Regular Giving status is ACTIVE:
Card failed |
This may be due to insufficient funds or other reasons. |
Update Credit card | The card may be expired or cancelled or no card |

We attempt to process 3 times in one cycle. Then we attempt to process again at the next frequency (monthly or weekly) two more times. |
