Some events allow a 'virtual' component. This means you can log your fitness activity manually or sync from your external Fitbit or Strava app or device and add it to your Fundraising Page and get sponsored for your charity.
Did you know that you can use the FITBIT / STRAVA app? You do not need the device. Just download the app to your phone and get started counting your steps and kms.
Sync from FITBIT / STRAVA
STEP 1 - LINK YOUR FITBIT / STRAVA APP TO YOUR MYCAUSE ACCOUNT
Login to mycause
Navigate to Account /Manage connections
Click CONNECT to connect your Fitbit / Strava. You will see a screen from each. Please accept the permissions and submit.
STEP 2 - SYNC YOUR ACTIVITY TO YOUR FUNDRAISING PAGE

Navigate to your Fundraising Page in your dashboard
Click Sync activities from fitness devices
Click 'add Fitbit / Strava activity'
Your activities will appear in a pop-up
Select your activity to post. When you click "post to your page" your activity will add to your total activities.
You can add and delete activities later in your account
Add Manual Activity
If you don't have a Fitbit / Strava you can still add manual activity to your Fundraising Page.
STEP 1 - OPEN YOUR FUNDRAISING PAGE SETTINGS

Click Fundraising Pages (Crowdfunding)
Click Sync - Add or sync fitness activity
STEP 2 - ENTER YOUR ACTIVITY

Click on 'add manual' and enter your activity, then click post to your page
IMPORTANT
Even if you are tracking your steps, you must still log an "activity" with your Fitbit / Strava in order for the data to sync.
If you don't see your data be sure to refresh your apps.
