If you have a recurring donation set up for a charity, you can manage the ongoing transaction in your mycause account you can:
- Download receipts and reports
- Stop the Regular Gift
- Update credit card details
For all of these, you will first need to log in to your mycause account.
1. Download receipts for regular gifts
Select "Regular & Portfolio Giving" from the left-hand menu of your mycause account dashboard. This will show you all of your regular gifts.
Each of your regular gifts will be displayed on a card with information such as the charity name, the frequency of the donation, and the next date your credit card is scheduled to be charged.
On the right of the card, choose "Reports & receipts" to open the receipting pop up.
On the pop up you can select a financial year, or enter a custom date range, then click to download the PDF or XLS.
The PDF will provide you with a single-page document that you can use as a tax receipt (depending on the tax status of the charity you support). The XLS will provide you with a spreadsheet detailing every transaction made with your regular gift within the selected time frame.
2. Stop a Regular Gift
If you want to stop a recurring gift because you do not wish to continue supporting the charity on a regular basis, you can click "Stop this payment" in the bottom right corner of the card (as pictured above)
If you wish to change the frequency or amount of your regular gift, you must stop your current payment and start a new regular gift. To do so please search for the charity here
3. Update credit card
Select "Account" from the left hand menu, and then "Credit Cards" to open the credit card management screen.
To remove an existing credit card because it has expired, or been cancelled for any reason, click the "Delete this card" button to the right of the card number and expiry date.
To add a new card, click the "Add a new card" button below the existing card and type in your card details. Check the box to ensure the new card is the one being charged for your regular gift, and click "Create & Update"
