The mycause events platform offers a comprehensive email communication cycle for your event that is automated. Each email has its own trigger based on the email's contents and purpose.
There is an automatic email that gets sent to participants with unpaid registration the evening after they start registering but do not pay. You are able to view and edit this pending registration automated email, but you can also send an ad hoc mass email if required.
To view and edit your pending registration email go to your Event Dashboard and click on 'Marketing', then 'Email communication' in the left hand menu.
In the 'Email Communications' screen, there are four tabs for different email types. Stay on the first tab, called 'Participation & registration', and scroll down to the last option, which is an email called "Your registration for [your event name] is pending"
On the left, you will see two buttons and a toggle. The 'Preview' button allows you to see what the email looks like when participants receive it, the toggle allows you to turn the automation on or off (orange = active = email will be sent automatically, grey = inactive = email will not send), and the 'Edit' button opens the email editor.
In the email editor you can see the default text in the subject line and body text of the email, and click in the text fields to edit the information. Once you have edited the text, you can click the 'Preview' button to open a pop up preview of the email, click the 'Send test email' button to email a test version of the email to an email address you enter, and click 'Save & Close' to finish updating the email template.
To send a mass email to all pending registrations (those who have not paid the registration fee), follow these instructions and select 'Inactive/pending registrations only' under Choose who to send to.
