There are 2 ways someone can become a fundraiser through your Fundraising Website:
- The individual can go to the Fundraising Website, click on ‘register’ or ‘start fundraising’ and input their details.
- You, as a representative of the charity, can add them through the back end (orange) dashboard of the Fundraising Website.
Adding an individual through the Dashboard
Step 1: Go to your Fundraising Website (event)
Fundraising Websites are housed in the 'Events' section of your mycause Partner Dashboard.
Login to your Partner Dashboard
Navigate to 'Events' in the left hand menu
Click the 'manage' button next to the Event (your Fundraising Website)
Step 2: Add the Fundraising Page
In your Event Dashboard
Go to 'Manage fundraising' on the left hand menu
Click the 'Add a Fundraising Page' button
Fill in the details of the individual you are adding as a fundraiser. It's best to use their email address when adding the fundraiser so they receive their notifications and can manage their page as well as thank their donors.
After adding the email address and name for the fundraiser, click on the circle that says 'Individual' (or team if it is displayed) and then click 'next'.
Step 3: Customise the page
Now, you can add any custom text or images that the fundraiser has provided you with. If the fundraiser has not provided you with these, you can leave the generic text and image that are already entered.
Make sure the title reflects the fundraiser an their activity like "John runs 100km for charity name"
Once you have finished creating the Fundraising Page, scroll down and click the 'save & next' button.
You will be taken to a list of all your fundraisers, with the one you just created at the top.
Step 4: Share the page
Grab the Fundraising Page link and share it with the fundraiser.
Let them know that they will receive daily donations updates.
Advise them to log in to mycause to thank their donors on the page or by email, download QR codes. Also download a memento and certificate of appreciation at the end of the campaign.
